Tanya Jones
Name: Tanya Jones
Birthday: November 28
Birthplace: Sacramento, CA
5 Things You love: music, gum, animals, passionate/driven people, cleaning/organizing
5 Things you hate: anything overly "girlie," being placated to, being lied to, my awkward body, disorder/chaos/tension
Favorite Music: EVERYTHING. Electro is huge right now, so of course Daft Punk, Justice then the toss in like Flosstradamus, Hot Chip, Girl Talk, Green Velvet....anything that I can mix up. Anything European. Hawaiian/reggae stuff is becoming my new thing. Currently into classical, though. I go in phases…music is to me what fashion is to Gwen—I like whatever is about to be hot, and then just as it gets sorta big, I find a new thing.
Favorite Movies: I really liked the muppet movies as a kid. Jim Henson was a genius!
Favorite Color: blue…in all it's shades
Relationship Status: single
Favorite Food: anything vegan. Did I mention I'm vegan? I saw a documentary when I was 14 on the meat industry and seriously could never consider consuming an animal. They are all God's creatures and have a right to life. (Sometimes under stress, however, I splurge on pizza or a bean & cheese burrito, but it is followed with some serious guilt. L)
Favorite Animal: panthers
Goals: I know it sounds cheesy, but my ultimate goal is to be a professional DJ. By that I mean making a living at it. From there, I have even more lofty goals like becoming known, in-demand, bringing change to the whole DJ/club dynamic (sounds like reform, but it sort of is.) But I don't know if this will really ever happen. Right now it's my passion and school, finances, and current other obstacles are taking too much time for my life as DJ TJ.
Religion: I was raised Catholic. I guess I still sort of am…sort of not. I do not go to mass or anything (so some I guess would say I'm not.) But I still believe in God. I still pray to God…sometimes. I'm just struggling with the whole religion/church dynamic right now. Catholicism is my heritage, but I don't agree with all of it. I love Jesus. I guess that's my religion. Oh, and the remnants of some serious Catholic guilt. Is that a religion…?
Song to best Describe you: different ones for different days, times, seasons.
Movie to best describe you: Sicko (just kidding!), probably Reality Bites, oh or Dogma haha (I seriously do agree with a lot of that film, can I change that to my religion?)
